LIGHT

Even if you live a long time, don’t take a single day for granted.
Take delight in each light-filled hour,
Remembering that there will also be many dark days
And that most of what comes your way is smoke.
Ecclesiastes 11:8 (MSG)

I create light and darkness, happiness and sorrow. I, the LORD, do all of this.
Isaiah 45:7 (CEV)

Let all that I am praise the LORD.
O LORD my God, how great you are!
You are robed with honor and majesty.
You are dressed in a robe of light.
You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;
you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.
You make the clouds your chariot;
you ride upon the wings of the wind.
The winds are your messengers;
flames of fire are your servants.
O LORD, what a variety of things you have made!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures.
Here is the ocean, vast and wide,
teeming with life of every kind,
both large and small.
Psalm 104:1–4, 24–25 (NLT)

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.1 John 2:9–11 (NIV)

Before I shaped you in the womb,
I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day,
I had holy plans for you:
A prophet to the nations—
that’s what I had in mind for you.
Jeremiah 1:5 (MSG)

You, LORD, are the light that keeps me safe.
I am not afraid of anyone.
You protect me, and I have no fears.
Psalm 27:1 (CEV)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

I pray that you will be grateful to God for letting you have part in what he has promised his people in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12 (CEV)

He has redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit,
and my life shall see the light. Job 33:28 (NRSV)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 (NIV)
