JOY

O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Psalm 95:1 (NASB)

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth;
break forth into joyous song and sing praises.
Psalm 98:4 (NRSV)

So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun. Ecclesiastes 8:15 (NIV)

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of
the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. John 16:22 (NASB)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. Galatians 5:22 (NIV)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2–4 (NIV)

Be full of joy in the Lord always. I will say again, be full of joy. Philippians 4:4 (NCV)
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.
Habakkuk 3:17–19 (NIV)

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
John 16:24 (ESV)
